Applications for The UK Roofing Awards 2018 are now open! These are an industry-wide event, that aim to find the best in the business and “reward outstanding standards of workmanship and safety within the roofing industry.”
The Awards, which are hosted by the NFRC, are open to roofing and construction companies, as well as manufacturers, architects and specifiers. Entrants must be a member of one of the following:
–GRO
–LRWA
–MAC
–NFRC
–SPRA
The Roofing Awards have been split up into several different categories, including ‘Roof of the Year Award’, ‘Roof Slating’, ‘Innovation Award’ and ‘Roof Tiling.’
Each entrant will be judged on relevant criteria such as health and safety, aesthetics and environmental factors.
This year’s judges are Editor of RCi Magazine Matthew Downs, Public Speaker Dusty Gedge and Duncan King who is the Technical Manager at Construction Products Association.
They will be joined by Nigel Shapland, Senior Technical Officer at the NHBC and Dr P Blackmore who is an Associate Director at the Building Research Establishment.
There are many reasons to enter these awards, from getting your business recognised for all its hard work to making you stand out against your competitors. This also provides free PR opportunities in the form of industry newsletters and publications.
You have until Friday 19th January 2018 to enter, after this time the applications will not be accepted. The best will then be shortlisted before the winners are finally announced in May at The UK Roofing Awards Luncheon, held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London.
We know that our customers provide the highest quality of slate roof tiles which is why we are encouraging them to spread the word to their own customers about this competition. Whether they are shortlisted or go on to win one of the Roofing Awards, it’s a great opportunity to show the world what they, and their suppliers, can do.
