August Update From JRC Slate

JRC Crowned Winners at E3 Awards

JRC are pleased to announced that we were awarded with the “Skills, Education and Training Award” at the E3 Awards 2015. There were 16 award categories in total, including “Social Enterprise of the Year”, “Customer Service Award” and “Business of the Year.”

The finals ceremony was hosted at the Macron Stadium in Bolton and had around 500 businesses in attendance, as well as representatives from universities and support organisations.

All nominations were judged by a panel of experts, academics and entrepreneurs. At the final stage, we were interviewed by the judges where we took the opportunity to talk about our company and the success we have had over the years.

We were presented the award by Kath Lord-Green on behalf of the award partner, First Class Learning. JRC are thrilled that the hard work and dedication we have demonstrated has been recognised by the judges and hope that we can continue the same success at next year’s awards.

Following the ceremony, our Director of Planning Rosie Connor said; “Well done to all the team on winning an award at the E3 Business Awards last night! The award recognised our continuous commitment to our team, our customers, the local community and those within the construction industry.”

This year had a record number of nominations, which makes it even more of an achievement to be named winners. We want to say a big thank you to the E3 Awards organisers and well done to all of the other entrants!

JRC Join In With the Best of Burnley

Back in April, JRC attended the ‘Best of Burnley’ festival which took place at the hometown Football Club. More than 40 local businesses and organisations got involved and took the opportunity to get to know the locals.

The celebrations started at 11 a.m. before the Burnley V Leister match. Visitors had the chance to quench their thirst before the game with the refreshing drinks on offer. There was also a variety of local food and entertainment options available, meaning that there for all of the family.

JRC’s business owners Jason and Rosie Connor, along with Key Account Manager James Robinson, attended the ‘Best of Burnley’ celebrations. Jason is a descendant of Burnley FC legend, Tom Bamford, who was the right back during the 1914 FA Cup final, and Jason brought along the winners medal from that day 101  years ago to the day.

Despite the traditionally British weather, we had a great time at this event. We want to thank everyone who was involved in organising the day and say well done for making it such a success. JRC hope to see you all again for 2016’s ‘Best of Burnley’ festival!

JRC Attend NMBS Exhibition

Earlier this year, JRC attended the NMBS exhibition, which took place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. We were pleased to be invited to get involved with such a prestigious event, which attracted both sellers and consumers from all over the UK.

The National Merchant Buying Society organised this event to give businesses the opportunity to speak to potential customers, experts and other likeminded companies. We also displayed a range of our slate tile products so that visitors could get a feel for what our company does and ask any questions.

NMBS has become a prestigious exhibition in the industry and is drawing in more and more people each year. JRC are pleased to have been involved with this networking event and are already looking forward to next year! We would like to thank all those involved in organising the event and making the day a huge success!

JRC’s 15^th Birthday

JRC are pleased to announce that this year will mark the 15^th birthday of our company. When the company first started out in 2000, JRC’s owner Jason Connor ran the business from a spare bedroom. After many years of hard work and commitment, JRC has become one of the leading providers of slate roofing in the UK.

High quality products, excellent levels of customer service and technical knowledge are just a few of the reasons that our company has become established within the roofing industry. We ensure that all of our customers have a great experience when working with us, whether they need expert advice or want to order from our Spanish slate collection.

JRC hopes to continue growing as a business and still be providing UK merchants with quality slate in another 15 years! We want to take the opportunity to say thank you to all of our customers and employees who have made the success of our company possible.
