Our Chinese slates feature a fine grain and a smooth surface texture, ensuring their resilience against weathering and fading. In addition, they demonstrate fire resistance and energy efficiency.
Notably, these slates have an impressively low water absorption index of less than 0.4%.
When working with slate, it’s essential to sort and grade them into three separate thicknesses. Keep in mind that natural slate products may exhibit slight variations in thickness. Proper installation should follow industry guidelines, such as the code of practice for good slating and tiling (BS5534 part 1, 1997) and workmanship standards for roofs and cladding (BS8000 part 6, 1990).
