We recently got some feedback from a project where our Calidad 120 slates were used and we think that the end result is great!
Of course we can’t take all the credit, the installation itself is excellent!
The Calidad 120 from our Spanish quarries is a heavy grade slate and we were told that the roofers were happy to work with this quality material due to its uniform thickness (7-9mm). This meant that little time was needed to grade the slates out, giving a quicker job overall and a great finish.
The flatness of the slates was also of note, making it easy to complete the fitting onto a boarded roof. You might think that this wouldn’t be an issue with roofing slates, but as they are a natural material, variations can occur.
To top off the easy grading and fitting, there was also very little wastage. This went for both the actual pallets delivered and across the site during working, showing the resilience and strength of the slate.
